The Map, whose link is https://samusicology.com/mapa/, tries to value female creation in the world of classical music, so often ignored on a national and international scale.

Media such as The Guardian have echoed the impressive work of this interactive map that Sakira Ventura produced during the harsh months of lockdown.

María Parra, who will visit Soria on September 6, comes from classical, an area in which she has released two albums interpreting Falla, Albéniz, Debussy, Granados…

However, last 2020, she has turned her career around by releasing Vision, her third album, but first of her own compositions, with the multinational record company Warner Music.

In this last year, and on solo piano, she has taken it to the stages of El Piano del Albéniz (Albeniz’s Piano) and Red de Teatros (Theaters Network) cycles, organized by the Community of Madrid; Autores de Tecla (Key Authors), from the SGAE Foundation; and Disidencias (Dissidents) and 21 Distritos (21 Districts), organized by the Madrid City Council.

In addition to her solo piano project, she has also created a jazz trio with double bass player Miguel Rodrigañez and drummer Gonzalo Maestre.

The repertoire is Maria’s own, which, under the sounds of jazz, acquires new dimensions. (More info at: https://linktr.ee/MariaParraTrio)
