Maria Parra Trio will offer a concert in the Alvear Wineries of the MontiJazz, Montilla Jazz Festival in Cordoba province.
For pianist Maria Parra, music is a constant challenge. After many years dedicated to perfecting her style in the wake of classical composers, she found herself when she decided that happiness came from expressing her most intimate emotions through her own compositions. That’s how Vision came about, her first job with her works. While she showed her most classical facet, she studied and recreated in the intimacy of jazz, which she perfected during her years at the Taller de Músicos in Barcelona. Her challenge was to transfer her vision of her music to jazz improvisation, supported by two traveling companions who form one of the most solid rhythmic bases on the national jazz scene.
Maria Parra Trio is made up of Maria Parra on piano, Miguel Rodrigañez on double bass and Gonzalo Maestre on drums.
