Introduction
Transition:Where the Piano Dissolves into Landscape

Transition marks a turning point in pianist María Parra’s career.

After a long journey through the classical repertoire and composing for piano in hybrid formats, and her experience with her jazz-influenced trio, the artist ventures into new territory: solo composition and production within a digital environment. The piano remains the center of gravity, but its language expands toward new textures, atmospheres, and sonic layers. This process does not represent an abandonment of the past, but rather a natural transformation: a transition. The album is conceived as an internal and sensory journey, where time dissolves and the music moves between states: from wakefulness to sleep, from the tangible to the subtle, from the known to what is yet to be revealed. An inward movement where music becomes a space for inner exploration and emotional resonance.

The record has been tuned to 432 Hz, a frequency associated with a more organic and harmonic perception of sound in certain listening approaches. This decision is part of an aesthetic quest focused on sensitivity, calm, and emotional resonance.
